We’re thrilled to introduce the four newest members of the VIATechnik team!

At VIATechnik, we understand that achieving the best possible results for our clients requires a healthy balance between technology, processes, and people. We’ve spent years building an impressive team of experts with extensive experience in nearly every aspect of AEC — Owners, developers, architects, engineers, tech gurus, project managers, GCs, you name it.

Carrying on this tradition, we’re proud to introduce the four newest members to the ever-growing VIATechnik family, each of whom brings his or her own unique set of skills to the table, adding an entirely new dimension to our capabilities and offerings.

Leslie Baz

Computational BIM Specialist

After earning her B.Arch from Syracuse University, Leslie spent two years as an architectural designer at NYC-based Rafael Viñoly Architects. After her time at Flux Data, Inc., Leslie joined VIATechnik as a computational BIM specialist, eager to flex the programming skills she recently acquired through the Flatiron School.

In her new role, Leslie uses computational BIM workflows to craft efficient solutions for a variety of design and construction processes, including multidisciplinary design optimization, parametric geometric design, data mining, and design automation. She’s also tasked with implementing internal computational BIM training and working with software developers to build new, more powerful construction tools and scripts.

Yuriy Kulchytsky

VDC Engineer

Yuriy has applied his study of architecture, BIM, and construction management in a number of different contexts over the years. Before joining VIATechnik in January, he worked at Dashiell Corporation on projects in the electrical, telecommunications, and medical industries .

Thanks to these experiences, Yuriy is certified as both a Revit Architecture Professional and a Revit Structure Professional. Bringing a wealth of VDC knowledge to the VIATechnik team, he leads VDC and BIM coordination meetings, works closely with clients on complex projects, and generates solutions to unique constructability problems.

Jamal Albarghouti

Lean & Project Controls Manager

With a master’s in construction engineering from Virginia Tech University and over a decade of project control experience, Jamal is a true expert in his field. Much of his industry experience came with the Bechtel Corporation — the largest construction and civil engineering company in the U. S. — which afforded him the opportunity to work everywhere from Hanford, Washington, and Phoenix to Saudi Arabia and Qatar.

Widely recognized as a wizard when it comes to leveraging project data in asset management decisions, Jamal specializes in developing and implementing efficient and effective processes that support both business and project objectives.

Jun Li

Virtual Reality Specialist

While completing his B.Arch at the University of Illinois, Jun won the Edward C. Earl Prize for his work on “Reflection,” a mixed-use residential building in Chicago. After earning a master’s degree from the University of Southern California, Jun spent time as an architectural designer at Gensler and an environment designer at Faraday Future, where he was involved in the digital design process and the production of architectural drawings on large scale multi-family projects.

A designer with a great deal of expertise in digital modeling and visualization, Jun’s well-honed expertise and strong architectural background make him an exceptionally adept virtual reality specialist.
