Winner of VIATechnik’s Museum Design Contest Announced!

Unofficial Lucas Contest Winner

Congratulations to Mircea Eni, who claimed the winning design for the unofficial Lucas Museum Design Contest hosted by VIATechnik.

The contest ran for one month and received designs from entrants around the globe. During this time it was announced that George Lucas officially chose the city of Chicago to house his art collection, Star Wars memorabilia and other examples of his innovative work.

One reason Lucas chose Chicago was because of the city’s long history of supporting and showcasing some of the most iconic art and architecture in the U.S. VIATechnik is proud to be a part of this tremendous opportunity afforded to Chicago as it presents the winning design to the Chicago Task Force responsible for helping Chicago beat San Francisco and Los Angeles.

About First Place Winner, Mircea Eni:

Mircea Eni is a recent graduate of the Illinois Institute of Technology, and a current Master in Architecture (MArch) II Candidate at Harvard Graduate School of Design. Originally from the Republic of Moldova, Eni is spending the summer interning at Krueck+Sexton Architects in Chicago.
