WELCOME

TO THE DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION

As the built environment migrates to digital workflows across the entire building life-cycle - from concept to operations, traditional design and construction workflows are no longer sufficient to deliver projects on time and on budget. Designers, construction managers, engineers, and owners are being presented with various software tools and technology to apply to their capital projects. The question is, how do we use and implement these new tools to maximize outcomes?

The Stanford Center for Professional Development and VIATechnik are delivering the Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) certificate program for professionals interested in achieving the full potential of their projects through VDC. Built upon the foundation work by Dr. Martin Fischer, Director of Stanford's Center for Integrated Facility Engineering, the concepts covered will include Building Information Modeling (BIM), integrated Concurrent Engineering (ICE) and Lean.

Furthermore, the program incorporates learning from VIATechnik's broad range of projects delivered through VDC. This program is specifically built for individuals who want to manage and lead their firm and project's transformation into the digital world.

We look forward to welcoming you into the program and together, driving transformation and change into the architecture, engineering, construction and development industries.
