Real World Context in Voyager: New Reality Capture Integrations Are Live

February 2, 2026 | 4 min read

Fully integrating Reality Capture into Voyager gives facility teams instant, real-world context so remote FM workflows run smoother and maintenance and capex planning happens with fewer unknowns.

Voyager lets teams open virtual tours, 360 imagery, and point clouds from platforms like NavVis IVION, Matterport, and FARO Sphere XG directly inside the application. And it goes beyond viewing. Reality Capture tags can be linked to Voyager BIM elements, assets, and related documents, creating a closed loop between what teams see in the field and the work they manage across their facilities.

That is why we expanded Voyager’s Reality Capture module with additional integration options. Voyager now supports:

  • NavVis IVION
  • Matterport
  • FARO Sphere XG

With each integration you can:

  • Easily open laser scanned point cloud data and 360 imagery inside Voyager
  • Link Voyager data to reality capture data (i.e. assets, BIM elements, and FM documentation from across Voyager are now directly tied to your reality capture outputs!)
  • Keep operational work in one place.
  • Make decisions with fewer clicks.

Want to See It in Your Workflow?

Most tools stop at delivering point clouds and virtual tours. Voyager is built to turn reality capture into operational intelligence, so you get better outcomes at scale, not just more data.

With these integrations, your reality capture investment directly supports the things that matter:

  • Zero-surprise events
  • Predictable capital outcomes
  • Lower operational risk
  • Faster planning and collaboration
  • A smoother maintenance experience

It also fits a proven process: collect building data, align it to BIM, connect it to asset data, then roll it into an integrated digital twin so teams do not drown in drawings when they are trying to make decisions.

If you want to see what this looks like with your sites and your process, book a demo and we’ll walk through it end-to-end.

NavVis IVION

NavVis IVION is a platform for viewing and navigating reality capture data, either from NavVis’ mobile laser scanning devices or other structured point cloud data. It lets teams explore photorealistic indoor scans with intuitive navigation and location-based context.

Key capabilities include:

  • Click-to-jump-style navigation in scanned environments
  • BIM comparison tooling to layer a model on top of the scanned environment
  • POIs (Points of Interest) for quickly jumping to relevant areas; POIs can be linked to a specific asset in Voyager for quickly jumping to BIM, documents, asset information, and more.

Matterport

Matterport is a reality capture platform that creates immersive 3D digital twins from 360 imagery and LiDAR. It makes it easy to understand a space remotely and share visual context with anyone who needs to plan, verify, or troubleshoot work.

Key capabilities include:

  • Smooth point-to-point virtual walkthroughs with seamless navigation between scan positions
  • Multiple viewing modes like immersive walkthrough and dollhouse style overviews supported by strong measurement capabilities
  • Mattertags and notes that can highlight areas of interest, issues, or equipment context inside the capture; Mattertags can be linked to a specific asset in Voyager for quickly jumping to BIM, documents, asset information, and more.

Faro Sphere XG

FARO Sphere XG is a reality capture and site documentation platform built around laser scanning and 360 photo capture. It is commonly used to document progress, confirm conditions, and create a reliable visual record that teams can reference later.

Key capabilities include:

  • Click-to-jump-style navigation in scanned environments
  • BIM comparison tooling to layer a model on top of the scanned environment
  • Supports industry standard point cloud upload and direct point cloud integration with Faro Scene.
  • Future integration with Voyager assets.
