Downloading and Using a Fabrication Database Configuration
NOTE: You will need one of the following to enable fabrication database management: Autodesk’s Fabrication CADmep, ESTmep, or CAMduct.
- Start by opening your project in Revit and navigating to the MEP Content Tool tab, then logging in (you will need to request a user and password during initial setup).
- Once logged in, navigate to the Downloads tab and set the desired download location by clicking the gear icon and selecting the desired folder.
- Next, navigate to the Content Search tab, select ITM-DB from the File Type drop-down, select the desired database configuration, and click Download Selected. Alternatively, click Download All Results.
- Once downloaded, unzip the downloaded file and follow the instructions for linking a fabrication database configuration found here.
- Once the database is linked to Revit, you can load the database into your project file by following the instructions found here.
Downloading and Using Fabrication Content
NOTE: You will need a fabrication database configuration and one of the following to enable fabrication content management: Autodesk’s Fabrication CADmep, ESTmep, or CAMduct.
- Start by opening your project in Revit and navigating to the MEP Content Tool tab, then logging in (you will need to request a user and password during initial setup).
- Once logged in, navigate to the Downloads tab and set the desired download location by clicking the gear icon and selecting the desired folder.
- Next, navigate to the Content Search tab, select ITM from the File Type drop-down, search for and select the desired items, and click Download Selected. Alternatively, click Download All Results.
NOTE: You MUST have a fabrication database configuration loaded before proceeding (see above section).
- Once downloaded, navigate to the Downloads tab, select the desired items, and click Load Selected. Alternatively, click Load All or Load Part.
- Select the folder to load the items into.
NOTE: You must select a valid folder that is already configured to show items in the database configuration.
- Once the content has been loaded into the database, you can load the content into your project file by following the instructions found here.
